Sustainability Project

In our effort to help change the lives of the children living in extreme poverty we have concluded that one of the biggest needs in East Africa is to help local charities become self-sustaining. While traveling throughout East Africa we met hundreds of people who had a passion to see their country changed. Many of them had already started charities like New Hope Orphanage.

Our current project is in support of New Hope Orphanage:

Garden Project – In an effort to create a sustainable growth model we are working on raising money for a 15 acre garden. This will not only feed the children, but also serve as an income generating mechanism with the excess food being sold in the market.

New Dorms – New Hope Orphanage was started in 2003 with a small grant from the Mustard Seed foundation. Currently New Hope is using their school building for dormitories due to lack of space. EAMP is working with New Hope to build a new dorm for the children to live in. This will also allow New Hope to fully utilize the school to teach the children as well as a source of funds to support the orphanage
