Well first of all, as my last blog update was over a month ago, I have realized I am not a very good blogger :)  

I just wanted to give some quick updates regarding the East Africa Metamorphosis Project, and what we have been up to these past couple of months. 

First of all the t-shirts for beds sale is going great.  We have raised over $1000 to go towards the purchase of new beds for New Hope Orphanage.   We still have plenty of shirts available so it is not to late to get one!!

October 17th – Benefit Concert at the Parish in Austin, TX with Oh No! Oh My!, Cory Branan, Booher and the Turkeyz – All proceeds will go to either help purchase beds for New Hope Orphanage or to expand our Microcredit Program in Busia Uganda!  Come and have a blast at the show and support a great cause in the process!!

Microcredit Program – Things are going great!  The program was launched in the beginning of May with 27 loans given out to 27 participants, the majority of whom were single mothers living in extreme poverty.  This week we have had our first 2 loans pay off!  All the loans are used specifically for business purposes so this is a great mechanism to get at the root cause of the millions of children living in extreme poverty.  Over the next few months we will be raising money to expand the program!  More info to follow......
