Invest for Change

If you could invest $1,000 and earn an average return of 4% -6% would you do it?  How about if your investment was used to dramatically change the lives of a group women living in extreme poverty?  This is exactly what the East Africa Metamorphosis is proposing to do.  In our search for sustainable solutions to solve the problems of extreme poverty we believe that market incentives have to exist for our programs to succeed.  With this in mind we have designed a mechanism to allow investors to invest in microcredit, and actually earn money while helping those who have nothing.  It is a win/win scenario.

The Process:

·         Initial $1,000 - $10,000 Investment

·         Money is dispersed to women in our microcredit program

·         The loans will be collected over a year long period which is also the minimum duration of the investment

·         After the specified term is over the investor either withdraws his/her money plus the interest earned or reinvests the money back into the microfinance program. 

Types of investments

Dollar amount: $1,000 - $10,000

Terms:

1 year – 4% APR

2 years – 5% APR – paid out yearly

5 years - 6% APR – paid out yearly
